Iraqi thugs equal to historys' most barbaric.

Aid worker Margaret Hassan has given 30 years of her life to helping Iraquis. She has been kidnapped by Iraqi thugs and seen on video pleading for her life. If ever a reason was needed for eliminating these vermin once and for all this illustrates it clearly. We are also probably at the point where any religion (?) that supports and encourages these barbaric people needs to be erased from society.

Beatles rumour denied..

Today is the anniversary (Oct 22nd) from all those years ago (early 70's?) when Paul McCartney denied rumours that he was dead. Although even to this day there are some who believe he was not telling the whole truth, accumulated evidence seems to confirm the rumours were just that...rumours !!
Sir Paul lives on..older, maybe wiser and very out of tune now but nonetheless alive and well.

Don't mess with Grandma.

Australian grandmother, Alicia Sorohan leapt on and wrestled with a crocodile which was dragging a fellow camper away. The crocodile entered a tent in a campground in Northern Queensland and attacked a male camper. Alicia jumped on it and tried to rescue the unhappy camper. She suffered a broken nose and two broken arms with one almost severed. She said "Suddenly I thought, 'Hang on, I'm in a bit of trouble here. I'm going to be eaten.'" The struggle ended when the croc was finally shot dead. Alicia is recovering in hospital in Cairns.

A British fathers rights campaigner dressed as Batman has climbed a rollercoaster in Blackpool. Police are trying to entice him back down from the 70m-high ride.
Last month another campaigner also dressed as Batman climbed the wall of Buckingham Palace. He came down when police threatened to shoot him.

I'd like you to meet a friend from New Jer..........

Thomas Mitchell was found guilty for aggravated assault in the shooting of his girlfriend.
He shot her because he thought she was going to say the word "New Jersey." His lawyer said certain words caused Mitchell to snap such as "Wisconsin," "New Jersey," "Snickers," and "Mars." Mitchell who is 54, covered his ears in court when these words were about to be said. The witnesses had to use flashcards instead. Mitchell was said to be troubled but not crazy. Mitchell was convicted of shooting his girlfriend three times because he thought she was going to say "New Jersey." His girlfriend however survived but died before the trial from unrelated causes.

Prophets of Doom face uncertain future..

The "anti everything American" lobby has had a major setback. Free and democratic elections have gone ahead successfully in Afghanistan. In fact voter turnout may be as high as in US presidential elections,a remarkable achievement in a country just emerging from the 'middle ages'.
A recent poll taken in Afghanistan reports 75% felt free to choose a candidate, 90% said women have the right to vote and 85% thought the elections will bring positive change to the country. Most surprisingly 67% gave US troops a favourable rating.
Opponents of everything American may now have to quietly leave Afghanistan and focus on other regions where the US is trying to bring a semblance of democracy and freedom to beleaguered nations.
